The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) will convene from 11 to 22 November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Clim-Eat is joining not just as a participant but as a catalyst for change within the climate process itself.
Clim-Eat is set to organize and participate in several sessions throughout COP29. These events will address some of the most urgent climate challenges in agriculture and nutrition, from methane mitigation in livestock to the integration of nutrition and climate goals across ASEAN. With each session, we are committed to facilitating impactful dialogue, sharing actionable insights, and catalyzing partnerships that can shape climate action on a global scale.
One of our key contributions this year is to underscore areas where progress is both necessary and possible. Clim-Eat, in collaboration with the Netherlands, Wageningen University and Research, the Southern African Confederation of Agricultural Unions, and Agricord, will organize an official side event dedicated to our most pressing question: How can the UNFCCC framework support ambitious action in food systems and agriculture?
This year, our events bring together influential voices from governments, NGOs, research institutions, and industry leaders to confront the complex intersection of food, climate, and development. Our goal? To empower stakeholders with the tools and knowledge needed to push for real, measurable progress.
We invite you to join Clim-Eat at COP29 in Baku as we forge pathways for change, foster cross-sectoral collaboration, and inspire a global shift toward sustainable food systems.
