    About the event

From Tuesday 18 October to Thursday 20 October, the World Food Prize Foundation will be organizing the Borlaug Dialogue with the theme ‘Feeding a Fragile World’.

The Dialogue week will be filled with exciting dialogues, roundtables and side events, featuring a wide range of experts, practioners, youth, and, of course, this year’s winner of the World Food Prize, Dr. Cynthia Rosenzweig.

Clim-Eat will be joining the Dialogue in person in Des Moines, Iowa.  You can still register and join us there, by securing your seat here. For those that are unable to join in Iowa, nearly all events will be hybrid, so you will not have to miss out! You just have to register for virtual participation. Virtual participation is free for students, members of indigenous communities, and participants from the Global South.

Clim-Eat is participating in several events. We hope to see you there, either in person, or online.

Transforming Agricultural Innovation Systems by 2030: The Agriculture Breakthrough

The session will focus on the Agriculture Breakthrough, a global initiative announced at the UK COP26 Presidency’s World Leaders Summit with the goal to make climate-resilient, sustainable agriculture the most attractive and widely adopted option for farmers everywhere by 2030. It will provide an overview of progress made to date on the Breakthrough, including highlights from the forthcoming State of Sectoral Transitions report and a preview of activities around the Breakthrough at COP27.

The Triple C’s (COVID, Conflict, Climate) and More: Shocks, Recovery and Regeneration

The concurring threats of COVID, conflict, and climate change have caused short- and long-term global shocks. These shocks have upended food and nutrition security and adversely impacted our most vulnerable. Recovery and regeneration from these shocks are imperative next steps. This session will highlight what we have learned from addressing impacts in the era of COVID, conflict and climate, in order to build more robust food systems.
