Crisis as Catalyst: Rewiring food and climate action

About The Event

This solutions-focused roundtable will convene 20–30 thought leaders, decision-makers, and disruptors to address a critical question:

How can we reform the global architecture to accelerate climate action in food systems – and recruit the next generation of ‘agents of change’ to lead the charge?

Through provocative inputs and interactive discussions, participants will unpack the most urgent structural bottlenecks, share bold ideas for system redesign, and identify concrete opportunities to push for reform ahead of COP30. The session will be followed by an informal networking reception to deepen relationships and inspire cross-sector collaboration.

Event Objective

  1. Reimagine the governance and finance structures shaping global food and climate action – identifying what must be dismantled, redesigned, or newly built
  2. Diagnose how current political and financial bottlenecks are hindering progress, and explore practical strategies to unblock them
  3. Foster frank, future-focused dialogue across silos and geographies, elevating perspectives from the Global South and frontline actors
  4. Mobilize new ‘agents of change’ for the Food Systems MISSION POSSIBLE – individuals and institutions ready to challenge the status quo and co-create a more accountable, inclusive, and effective system
  5. Catalyze ideas and relationships that can evolve into actions and influence the broader food systems agenda heading into COP30
