Implem-Eat
What we are doing
Clim-Eat is implementing climate resilience actions across four Kenyan counties addressing water access, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and ecosystem restoration.
What we have learned
Our Harvesting Series provides a foundational analysis of existing barriers to policy and climate action within Kenya’s subnational food systems. This study identified key “lock-ins” or persistent obstacles that hinder effective implementation. These findings set the stage for developing targeted actions in partnership with local stakeholders.
- Harvesting Climate Action in Makueni
- Harvesting Climate Action in Nyandarua
- Harvesting Climate Action in Nandi
- Harvesting Climate Action in Isiolo
Where we are going
In collaboration with local partners, Clim-Eat supports the implementation of actions outlined in the schemes. The goal is to apply successful strategies and lessons learned to similar food systems facing climate challenges worldwide.
Curious about the crop and livestock dynamics in the Makueni and Nandi counties? Clim-Eat just published a baseline report from our work on agricultural insurance there.
