Elevating CompensACTION to accelerate climate action in food systems

Summary

Smallholder farmers are vital stewards of climate, soil, water, and biodiversity—yet their contributions often go unrewarded. CompensACTION for food security and a healthy planet, an initiative launched under Germany’s G7 presidency, aims to change this by fostering exchange among key actors and scaling effective compensation mechanisms. Our role is to crystallize and amplify the initiative’s messages among the right audiences—mobilizing greater action and resources for smallholder farmers for their positive contribution to ecosystem services.
