Multiplying impact on climate, nutrition, and gender in food systems

Summary

Climate change, gender and nutrition are closely linked through food systems, yet are rarely addressed together. This project advances integrated action on climate change, nutrition, gender, and resilient food systems, with regional and national efforts in South East Asia and Africa. By bridging gaps between evidence and action, it strengthens science-policy interactions and engages stakeholders to drive solutions that benefit both people and the planet. Central to the approach is the gender–climate–nutrition nexus, recognizing that women and vulnerable groups are disproportionately affected by climate change and malnutrition. The project works to support country-driven processes by providing technical support.

Capacity for Nutrition (C4N) is a Joint Action, co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ).
